The INCIDE NCD2000 is an
electronically programmable capacitor. The device is programmed through
a simple digital interface, taking current from a 6.5V external voltage
supply with a current compliance of 100mA. After programming, the
chosen setting for
the device is retained whether or not DC
power is maintained. There total single ended capacitance can be
calculated as C=6.6pF+X*6.6pF+Y*1.4pF+Z*63fF, where X
has 2bit, Y has 3bit and Z has 5bit. Capacitance exhibits a
voltage dependence from -900 to -5100ppm/V, depending on the
capacitance value selected. Temperature dependence ranges from 7 to
350ppm/ºC, depending on the absolute capacitance value. The
NCD2000 is
programmed
through two digital interface pins (DA, CLK), which have Schmitt
triggers and
pulldown resistors to minimize programming errors. Pin PV is connected
to a 6.5V supply (100mA current compliance) when programmed. The 3 pins
can be left unconnected during normal operation once the device is
programmed.
